Voice Reels

Bernard Shaw is pleased to offer Members of the casting website a permanent discount on the cost of making a voice reel. Members can have a 6 hour recording session on a one-to-one basis with Bernard for £300 (normally £350) and he will include the subsequent production of a 2 minute collage and 30 sec extracts for internet use - normally an extra £80. This represents a total saving of £130. This offer is open to current members and membership status will be checked. “I am (for what it's worth) a qualified drama teacher (having also studied 'Roy Hart' methods), a free-lance commercial and BBC audio producer (record shops currently sell about 20 of my BBC productions - Children's, Drama, Readings, Relaxation, Spike Milligan and 'An Evening With Sir Peter Ustinov'), and I also regularly work as a voice-over for BBC Worldwide. Time spent with me is a very good way of getting invaluable 'studio experience' whilst having the freedom to make mistakes, experiment, try silly voices, ask questions, and conquer nerves (most people arrive with them)!”

My clients include: Members of the BBC Drama Rep, The Royal National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, professionals from BBC2, Radio 2, Radio 3, 5 Live, World Service, Channel 4, LBC Radio, Talk Radio, Classic FM, 'Eastenders', 'Hollyoakers', and absolute beginners. I have a very large stock of scripts, jingles, music, and sound effects. Most scripts are authentic and have been broadcast. Some are fiendishly difficult - either technical, medical, or (being genuine) incredibly badly written! I also have song tracks and stories from children's tapes and broadcasts. Language is no barrier - I have produced tapes in English, French, German, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Dutch, Greek, Italian, Welsh, Gallic, Gaelic, American, Russian, Serbo-Croat, Japanese, Gujariti, and Punjabi!
