Child Policy
You must be between 11 & 21 to join TheCastingWebsite.com, however applications may be submitted on behalf of minors (16 & below) by their parent or guardian. To register on behalf of someone who is under 16, follow the normal registration process. Additional guardian information will be required during registration. Please note: when applying for casting calls, please ensure that all contact with casting directors or producers is done by the parent or guardian.
Roles for Under 16 year olds: You must be aged between 11 & 21 to join TheCastingWebsite.com, however applications may be submitted on behalf of minors by their parent or guardian. Every child auditioning for roles must be well behaved and have good manners. They need to be easy to direct and work well with strangers i.e. directors and photographers. Children don’t need a professional portfolio or photos as they are continually changing and growing – a few good quality snapshots should do. Always read legally binding documents and release forms that you are signing on behalf of your child. You need to understand what you are reading and what impact this will have on your child. For the safety of under 16s we recommend that you do not list any direct contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, etc.), or any places that your child may be located (schools, etc.). Ensure all photos represent your child in an appropriate manner (do not post photos of young girls in bikinis, young boys without shirts, etc). Please note: children under sixteen should always be accompanied to any role or audition by a parent or guardian.

If you are contacted by anyone not using an @thecastingwebsite.com email address but claiming to be from TheCastingWebsite.com, they are probably fraudulent, even if they link to the TheCastingWebsite.com website. Auditions & Safety
TheCastingWebsite.com aims to provide a safe environment for our members – here are our top audition safety tips:
• Before you attend any audition always get in touch to ask any questions you may have, including: who you are auditioning for, a contact phone number and full address, and who will be present.
• Use a search engine such as google to check the existence and history of the person or company running the audition. If in any doubt contact us at: info@thecastingwebsite.com
• Never put yourself in a vulnerable position. Always tell a friend, relative or someone you live with where you are going (the exact address), who you are meeting, and when you are returning.
• Take a sensible friend of adult age to any audition and only attend an audition in a public place usually used for auditions. Never meet anyone at a residential address or hotel.
• You have the right to say no to anything – do not allow yourself to be pressured into inappropriate situations, clothing, poses or roles.
• Beware of unfair contracts. Never sign anything without reading it and ensure it is fair and you understand it in its entirety (including the fine print).
• Use your judgement and common sense when applying and attending 3rd party auditions (always ask a parent or guardian). TheCastingWebsite.com is not responsible for the content of 3rd party auditions, and makes no warranty as to the accuracy of the advertisements.
To help us maintain a safe environment please contact info@thecastingwebsite.com to report any suspicious behaviour.
