About Shaun MacLoughlin

Shaun was with the BBC for 30 years, first as a Script Editor in TV Single Plays and then for 25 years as a Radio Producer of over 400 programmes, employing Actors and directing drama, comedy, documentaries, poetry and readings. He has written the definitive book on Writing, Producing and Acting Audio. He has also directed stage plays in the UK and abroad.

On his website www.englishwordplay.com in the “Audio Workshop Section” you can access lots of useful advice on how to Act and Write audio with numerous entertaining audio clips. You can also listen to the plays and documentaries he has made with Students.

Shaun has a wealth of experience in the industry and has helped Primary, Secondary and Drama School students to write and perform audio plays and factual documentaries.

We believe that drama can be a great way to help educate young people and help them talk about the issues and stresses that surround their every day lives.

We want to introduce Shaun to Schools, Colleges and Youth Theaters across the UK.
